Tottenham vs Liverpool: Premier League Preview

One of the most thrilling encounters of the Premier league has lately been the match including Tottenham and Liverpool. This will also be the first match against a Top Six side for the so far impeccable Jurgen Klopp’s team…

Tottenham needs to win

Tottenham have been in a pretty good form prior to the international break, with three wins and only one defeat. After tripping up against Watford prior to the international break, Mauricio Pochettino's men must pick themselves up quickly if they are to maintain an acceptable margin from the top of the table teams.

They have scored in every match this far, looking prolific as ever, with their best players - Eriksen, Kane, Alli - all playing in good form. The England international, Dele Alli, did suffer an injury setback during the international break with minor muscle strain being the problem. He remains questionable for this match, with all other first-team players at Pochettino's disposal.

One should look particularly at Spurs striker Harry Kane, who has been a real menace for Liverpool’s defense during the last campaign. The English striker has scored four goals in his past two games against Liverpool and will be eager to put a sluggish start to the season behind him.

Liverpool is perfect so far

Four games and four wins is the perfect tally this Liverpool team has managed to achieve. They are playing both efficient and attractive football, with all looking well for the Jurgen Klopp’s side. His players are all returning in good form and health after the international break, so there are not major worries for Liverpool’s manager.

Once again, they will be looking for their fearsome trio Mane-Salah-Firmino to be the major attacking force. So far, together they managed seven goals and three assists, so it’s really difficult to see any attacking trio being better than them.

For Liverpool, Salah is looking like the real danger man against Tottenham, as the Egyptian winger scored all three of the Reds goals against Spurs last season. Against a Tottenham side that have leaked goals against Newcastle and Fulham this season, the Liverpool attacker will be backing himself to add to those tallies.

Коэффициенты и Прогнозы

With two deadly attacks set to face off, this clash is set to live up to its history of being a high-scoring affair with only Arsenal and Everton fixtures seeing more goals scored in Premier League history. Considering the ultra-aggressive and attacking style both Klopp and Pochettino prefer, this should, yet again, prove to be a goal fest.

They will both score, so OVER 2,5 and both teams to score @1,83 looks like decent value. One can take it a step further with BOTH teams to score in the first half @3,75.
